The Senior Executive Officer will play a key role within the organisation, providing support to the Senior Management Team on matters related to operations.

The Role:

The Senior Executive Officer will support members of the Senior Management Team on matters related to operations, including project management, HR, administration and research. The role will act as a support function, stepping in to supervise and co-ordinate the breadth of Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful work streams, whilst effectively communicating with key internal and external stakeholders.



- Prepare and review high level and complex written communication messages, proposals, papers and presentations.
- Through research, provide guidance and expertise relative to the smooth and efficient functioning of Senior Management Team and provide suggestions for other functional areas.
- Offer support in research and exploration of innovative processes for operational efficiency improvements, e.g., new software for automation of tasks.
- Attend meetings on behalf of Senior Management Team when required.
- Supervise staff within sphere of responsibility when required.
- Drive key project initiatives as required.
- Scope, develop and implement project plans.
- Conduct research and write papers in accordance with project requirements.
- Facilitate effective project delivery.
- Manage all internal full team, manager and Senior Management Team meetings, including arrangement of venues, agendas, catering and minutes.
- Manage recruitment process, including scheduling, paperwork and induction requirements.
- Fulfil role as the Data Protection Officer for the organisation.
- Manage the organisations’ subscriptions, memberships, licenses and insurance.
- Represent the organisation at meetings, events and conferences.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders to build the quality and reputation of the programmes.
- Fulfil other duties as required.


- Educated to degree level or demonstrable relevant experience
- A high level of IT competence including hands on experience using Microsoft Excel
- 2+ years experience of project management or co-ordination ideally to include budget management
- Further experience within a supervisory role
- Flexible and adaptable, able to manage competing demands
- Ability to travel to fulfil the duties of the role


The Package:
- Basic salary:  Up to £30,000 per annum

- Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful operates a blended working policy allowing some flexibility to work between home and an office in Belfast
- IT equipment and support is provided for all staff to enable them to be efficient and effective in their work
