We're looking for a Communications Officer to work for our client.

They are an independent charity dedicated to creating a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Northern Ireland by delivering on improving environmental education in every school in Northern Ireland, increasing public engagement for communities in need and raising environmental standards for the places where people spend time: where they live, work and relax. This Communications Officer role is key to Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful’s strategic plan 2020-2025.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a Part-Time temporary fixed term role, planned to last until end March 2023 - Possible extension subject to funding.


The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with the Department Lead to enhance and maintain existing social media channels, web pages and digital communication opportunities to promote the messaging to the relevant audiences.


- Developing targeted campaign materials for the main target groups such as businesses, councils, schools and the public
- Attending relevant promotional events
- Providing timely and accurate reports on all communications activities
- Other administrative tasks required to support the overall development and delivery of the waste and pollution solutions work stream
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained and accurate


- Degree in any discipline or three years relevant experience
- Hands-on experience of digital communications or marketing
- Further experience of social media and website management

Ideally experience in content creation
Ideally experience of working in the voluntary sector

- Passion and interest in environmental issues
- Initiative and self-motivated
- Full driving license for travel purposes required on occasion


The Package:
- Basic salary: Up to £23,000 pro-rata
- Home/Office-based
- Full IT pack provided

This role will operate over 3 days with your normal days of work being between Monday and Friday 9am to 5pm but some flexibility is required to ensure the effective delivery of the role.
