We're looking for Head of Operations to work for our client.

All of their services are based on the principles of harm reduction and they provide potentially life-saving services to almost 1,500 people affected by homelessness across Greater Belfast every year.

The Role:
Reporting to the CEO and based in their Belfast office, the Head of Operations will be responsible for the effective delivery of all services in the organisation’s strategy and will play a key role in the Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership in the development and delivery of effective and innovative services that contribute to preventing homelessness.

Responsibilities:
- To develop and manage innovative community based homelessness services of the highest possible quality
- To ensure all services and projects comply with all contract, funding and service level agreement requirements
- To take lead responsibility for the development, implementation and review of service standards and the quality assurance framework for all services and projects within the organisation
- To lead and manage all service operations staff, in particular promoting a culture of affirmation, openness, mutual support and enthusiasm for personal learning and development
- To develop the skill, competence and capacity within the services teams
- To ensure effective financial control and funding compliance at all times
- To carry out any additional duties commensurate with the role as reasonably required by the CEO

Requirements:
- 3+ years demonstrable Senior Management / Leadership experience in the support sector ideally in Housing or Homelessness
- 3+ years experience of staff and operations management including performance appraisal
- Relevant experience of successful programme delivery
- Budgetary management would be highly advantageous
- Ideally experience of working in the voluntary sector
- Ideally have an understanding of theory and practice in working with homeless persons / people facing multiple exclusion
- Ideally an understanding of both statutory and voluntary agencies within this sector e.g., Housing Executive, DHSS and PSNI
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and oral
- High level of commitment to the organisation alongside drive, dependability and reliability to meet and exceed expectations
- Good depth of character and leadership skills
- Excellent IT skills including the Microsoft office suite

The Package:
- Salary starting at: £42,614 per annum
- Full package will be revealed and discussed at the interview stage
