The Role

 

We are looking for a dynamic Graduate IT Project Coordinator to join our client's team based in Dublin. This role is tailor-made for someone who is eager to learn, a tech enthusiast, and wants to get hands-on experience in IT Project Coordination/ Management. As a Graduate IT Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the team to manage projects, set up systems, and assist in the growth of the business.

 

Position: Graduate IT Project Coordinator

Location: Dublin

Type: Full-Time

 

Key Responsibilities

 

In this role, you will:

 

- Manage 1st level calls during the day, providing essential support to clients and team members.

- Prepare equipment and kit for engineers going out to client locations.

- Order broadband and other necessary supplies for projects.

- Assist in product testing and general setup for customers.

- Collaborate with the team to set up systems and support clients.

- Work closely with the CEO & COO to learn all aspects of the business and contribute to its growth.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

 

To excel in this role, you should have:

 

- A relevant degree in either Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related fields

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.

- Knowledge of IT concepts and Wi-Fi technologies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Eagerness to grow and learn in a dynamic work environment.

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Enthusiasm for technology and IT and continually looking to learn.

 

Nice to Have (Not Essential)

 

While not essential, the following qualifications and interests would be a plus:

 

- Familiarity with programming languages or coding.

- Previous experience or internship related to Project Coordination, IT, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering or similar fields .

- An understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.

The Role

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Field-Based Network/WiFi/IoT Engineer to join our client's forward-thinking team. This role is tailor-made for individuals who are customer-focused, tech-savvy, and thrive on working independently. As a Field-Based Network/WiFi/IoT Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions that enhance building intelligence.

Position: Field-Based Network/WiFi/IoT Engineer
Location: GB (Ideally South of England or Manchester, but we are open to applications across from across the UK)
Travel: Across the UK
Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Design and construct solutions that make our customers' buildings smarter.
  •  
  • Install and maintain IoT Energy and Air Quality Sensors.
  • Configure, mount, and install network equipment, including Wi-Fi access points, modems, switches, routers, cabling, access controllers, and cataloguers.
  • Install broadband connections, including DSL and FTTC splitters, wiring, and modems.
  • Test, install, and terminate CAT5/CAT6/Fibre cabling.
  • Diagnose faults both remotely and on-site.
  • Service and replace faulty equipment.
  • Collaborate with customers in both pre-sale and build/maintain roles to fully understand their requirements and design suitable commercial solutions.
  • Report customer feedback and potential product requests.
  • Create and take ownership of technical documentation and manuals.
  • Monitor site performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage customer helpdesk tickets, finding quick and appropriate solutions to live problems.
  • Maintain inventory and upcoming builds to ensure the right equipment and spare levels are available.
  • Follow internal processes and make process change recommendations as needed.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of our solutions portfolio.

Required Skills

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • In-depth knowledge of common internet equipment, including modems, routers, APs, and the ability to perform detailed configuration tasks.
  •  
  • A hands-on approach.
  • Strong commercial acumen in solution design.
  • A customer-first approach with a strong drive to get the job done.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and experience troubleshooting and testing CAT5/CAT6 patch cables.
  • A passion for continuous learning and pushing boundaries.
  • In-depth knowledge of DSL/FTTC/FTTP/leased line installation.
  • A commitment to delivering top-notch customer service.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Experience with VoIP, WAN & SD-WAN business models, including greenfield solution design and retrofit.
  • The ability to present highly technical solutions in a non-technical, customer-friendly manner.
  • A full EU/UK driving license.
  • Skills in writing and managing risk assessments.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the UK and Ireland.
  • In-depth knowledge of wireless point-to-point links and experience in maintaining fibre networks.

Nice to Have (Not Essential)

While not essential, the following qualifications and interests would be a plus:

  • In-depth knowledge of the UniFi product portfolio from both a technical and use-case perspective.

  • Familiarity with Zigbee, LoRa WAN, Cellular & Sigfox technologies.
  • Interest in Smart Building Technologies, including BMS & HVAC.
  • Knowledge or interest in IoT devices.
  • HVAC or BMS experience.
  • Experience with configuring and installing dataloggers.
  • Significant knowledge of AWS & Cloud Hosting solutions and pricing models.
  • In-depth knowledge of VMWare, content filtering, and enterprise-grade logins.
